Today is the anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima. Every year on this date, my friend AceArchist goes to war against the propaganda-addled masses who continue to defend it.
This morning, he tweeted a list of important resources he uses to rhetorically smash these people.
First on the list is the section of the 1946 US Strategic Bombing Survey that describes the effect of the bombings.
Second is a list of quotes from top US officials stating the bombings were not necessary. This one was compiled by Scott Horton.
The next article addresses the Strategic question of whether the bombings were indeed necessary to end the war without a full scale invasion of Japan.
The final article is from Kym Robinson, my colleague at the Libertarian Institute.
